REGENERATIVE TREATMENTS
When the Area Beneath the Eyes
Begins to Tell a Different Story.
The under-eye area is often one of the first places to reflect changes in skin thickness, tissue quality, and underlying structure.
Under-Eye PRF uses platelet-rich fibrin prepared from a small sample of your own blood and may support gradual improvements in the quality and appearance of the skin beneath the eyes.
PHILOSOPHY
Not every under-eye concern is a volume problem.
At Lumaire, we begin by evaluating tissue quality, skin thickness, facial structure, and the specific changes occurring beneath the surface. In many patients, improving the health and quality of the tissue itself may be more appropriate than simply adding volume.
When appropriate, Under-Eye PRF may offer a gradual way to support the quality and appearance of the skin beneath the eyes without relying on immediate volume correction.
Not every concern is best addressed by adding volume. The first step is understanding the condition of the skin and tissue beneath the eyes.
Dark circles, shadowing, hollowing, thinning skin, and crepiness do not always have the same cause—and should not automatically receive the same treatment.
The goal is not to erase every change. It is to help the under-eye area appear more rested while preserving natural expression and facial balance.
Recommendations are based on tissue quality, anatomy, the concern being treated, and your long-term goals.
A thoughtful plan considers both what the under-eye area needs now and how it may continue to change over time.
Every recommendation is guided by your anatomy and clinical appropriateness—not by what is currently popular.
We believe the most natural-looking results begin with understanding what the tissue beneath the eyes actually needs.
WHAT PATIENTS ARE OFTEN NOTICING
Changes beneath the eyes often develop gradually.
Many patients notice dark circles that seem more noticeable than they once were. Others become concerned about thinning skin, crepiness, hollowing, or a tired appearance that persists regardless of sleep, skincare, or healthy habits.
These concerns are often influenced by collagen loss, tissue thinning, and age-related processes occurring beneath the surface.
During consultation, we explore the concerns most important to you and determine whether regenerative treatment may be appropriate as part of a broader treatment plan.
The goal is not simply to improve how the area looks today. It is to understand what may be contributing to the changes you are noticing and determine the most appropriate path forward.
HOW UNDER-EYE PRF MAY HELP
Platelet-rich fibrin, or PRF, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. Under-eye PRF injections are carefully placed under the eyes based on anatomy, tissue quality, and the concern being treated.
For appropriate patients, PRF may support gradual improvements in the appearance and quality of under-eye skin. When considering PRF versus filler, PRF is not a substitute for filler in every case, and it cannot address every cause of dark circles, shadowing, or hollowing.
The goal is not to make the under-eye area look different. It is to help it appear more rested, supported, and naturally in balance with the face.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Under-Eye PRF works differently from treatments intended to create immediate volume correction. Any improvement develops gradually, and the response varies according to anatomy, tissue quality, and the cause of the concern.
We evaluate tissue quality, skin thickness, facial anatomy, under-eye concerns, and treatment goals to determine whether Under-Eye PRF—or another approach—may be appropriate.
A small sample of blood is collected and processed to prepare platelet-rich fibrin. The PRF is then carefully placed beneath the eyes using a treatment approach selected for the patient's anatomy and tissue quality.
Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, or sensitivity may occur following treatment. Because swelling can be more noticeable beneath the eyes, each patient receives clear expectations and individualized aftercare instructions.
If treatment is appropriate, changes may become visible gradually over the following weeks and months. The response and duration vary, and a treatment series or periodic maintenance may be recommended based on the individual plan.
The Most Meaningful Improvements Happen Gradually.
The under-eye area should simply look more rested—and still entirely like you.
